Artist's Statement

My watercolor paintings are varied interpretations of visual memories taken from my native homeland, my international travels, and from my personal life. They celebrate nature and the ambiance of my surroundings. The intense colors are not easy to ignore and those who view my works will see the landscapes in a new and more intense way. I like to suppress the excessive detail in a way that seems more like the idealized remembrances of a particular moment rather than a pictorial recollection of a given locale. My hope is that they will touch, influence and give pleasure to those who view them.”
